Maurice Segall is an experienced attorney mediator who has worked successfully with many couples to reach mutually agreeable resolutions of their divorce, post-divorce and prenuptial matters.
Maurice has been an attorney for 20 years, and since 1995 has concentrated his practice in divorce and family mediation. As an attorney mediator, Maurice helps couples through the maze of Connecticut divorce laws, drafts all necesary documents, and ensures that couples reach a fair and binding agreement.
Maurice is a Practitioner Member and past member of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Council for Divorce Mediation and Family Dispute Resolution (CCDM), and a Practitioner Member of the Association for Conflict Resolution. Maurice has served as a mediation trainer for Dr. Carl Schneider of Mediation Matters, and is a consultant mediator with the Stamford Counseling Center in Stamford, CT. He is a member of the Connecticut and New York State Bars. Maurice is an honors graduate of the University of Delaware and of Albany Law School of Union University.
Maurice is also very active in the community. In addition to having served on the Board of Directors of CCDM, he served for many years as the chairperson of the Pro Bono Committee of the Fairfield County Bar Association, and also served on the Boards of Directors of several other Connecticut nonprofit agencies including Family and Children's Agency, the Connecticut Consortium for Law and Citizenship Education, Connecticut Legal Services and Curtain Call. He is also the founder and coordinator of the Fairfield County Bar Association High School Mock Trial Competition, now in its 18th year. Maurice was the first practicing attorney ever to receive the prestigious Liberty Bell Award from the Stamford/Norwalk Regional Bar Association, given to one recipient each year for outstanding community service.
